I did some search back than, watch out for noticeable audio out of sync issue when recording more than an hour. It would get worse and worse afterwards. Seems to happen on all similar devices...

Does it decrypt the encrypted stuff? I haven't followed the scene for quite some time, but I remember there were devices that can strip HDCP or something like that.

You can use an hdmi splitter to err correct the signal and have this unit record video from any hdmi source in h.264 format.

FYI these can be used for a lot more than just video game capture. I use one (different brand but essentially the same Chinese product) to eliminate the 30 minute recording limit from my SLR.
