As does Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It's a nice option, but remember once the card is selected for internal storage, it's encrypted for use specific to that device and will not read on others.

So one thing Android 7.0 let's you do is replicate the SD card as internal storage. This should help with the Apps. I use the SD card for apps that I have installed but never use often.
