Yes, I understand that. But as I said, even if your drywall is bone dry, the RH can be 95%+. Conversely, your drywall could be soaked and the RH can be 50%. So I'm not sure how that would help you.

I don't see how any of these will help you salvage a house. These things measure the RH of the air, many places in the world are 95% humidity pretty much all the time and yet everything is fine.

You could also get one of those atomic clocks with the temperature, barometer, rain/weather estimation, etc. So for a kids project they have all of the information in one place. It does not show...
