I dont go any less than 7k miles on my cars, using Mb1 full synth. I have been checking the oil with blackstone labs for a few years now. My last oil change on my 2006 titan went 9k miles, and...

I agree. I put 2k a year on my pickup. You should spend that time and money on important tasks like changing fluid/filters in the transmissions, differentials, transfer case, radiator, etc

I think you're better off using less expensive oil and changing more often. I just use Supertech or sometimes Pennzoil ultra from Amazon since it's been only $21 for a five quart jug with S&S. And...

Fram Ultra is likely the best oil filter deal on the market though. The other Fram models are questionable.

If you go by the manual, some cars have you change the tranny fluid at 30k. There are cars out there with 200k that has never done it. I just did 3 of our vehicles. 2003 Dodge Ram 70k, a 2011 Nissan...

Your beef is with Toyota, not me or the oil companies. I never understood the desire to pay a premium for synthetic and go a year or more to "save money." How much money??? A couple dollars A YEAR?...

Synthetic is used for extended oil changes (greater miles per change interval than the manual says). Since you're not doing that, just use Castrol, Pennzoil, etc. every 6 months. If you like Mobil 1,...

K&N is better than FRAM, but not by much. I'd get a Royal Purple, Amsoil, or Purolator filter for any car you expect to run extended oil intervals on (>7k miles)... or any engine you want to "treat...
