Been using this for 6 months. Best thing ever. Just use the Insteon app. When paired with Echo I can raise and lower the temperature by asking Alexa.

Personally, I would stick with what you've got. You don't need any other equipment (hubs) for the Ecobee, and the Amazon Echo lets you have voice control.

I got the ecobee3 with amazon echo bundle for $200 because an amazon rep gave me a discount. This will not ship until oct 20. Should I stick with that or get this instead?

The thermostat is a programmable thermostat by itself. In order to access it from your smartphone (in your house, or from outside), you need a hub such as the Insteon Hub or the ISY-994i.
