I went ahead and bit on this model. Sure you can pay up to $1500 for a larger television, but not really one that will have less issue with backlight bleed. Unless you are willing to pay the price...

The UH8500 is a 10 bit panel. Rtings was originally mistaken, avsforum proved that it is a 10 bit panel in the service menu.
OLED does have some issues yes, but still perform better than LCD in...

I'd say so. Most seem to think 4K under 60 inches is undesirable these days. Prices on 55" have dropped all over the place. I personally would only go below 60" if using the TV as a computer monitor.

Uh7700, uh8500,uh9500 all are IPS panels, 9500 series being true 10 bit panels and ultra slim, the rest use 8bit+dithering...
they have some light bleeding issues on the corners which is expected...
