Agreed.. $1100 didn't seem too steep for 60"/4K/3D with no light bleed I almost got the Sony XBR that was 65" but the reviews about light bleed killed it

I'm in a similar place where this television has the features I am looking for and meets my budget. Sure OLED will drop, but not likely in the 60"+ size range that I want. The UH8500 series have...

I went ahead and bit.. I don't have the budget to pay $1500 or higher for a TV right now plus I'm moving into a new apt and felt this would be good for the living room as I too have a lot of 3D blu...

I went ahead and bit on this model. Sure you can pay up to $1500 for a larger television, but not really one that will have less issue with backlight bleed. Unless you are willing to pay the price...

Yep, big sales prior to BF and Super bowel build up. Best deals were around 2 weeks before BF and Super Bowel week for nice TVs that you really want.:D The KS 8000/9000 series is worth the extra...

The rtings site gave a good review.. anybody else have any experience with this? I need a 60" or higher TV that plays 4K and 3D below $1500 without light bleed.. almost bought the Sony XBR until I...

Is this one or the UN60KS8000 a better option? Seems the UN60KS8000 has a better review to spend the extra $300.

Just as long as my two favorite types of movies: sci-fi and animated continue to come out in 3D, I'm happy. I'm not even close on giving up on 3D yet by a long shot.

Do a little research and u will see 3D is tapering off in theaters from a high about 4 yrs ago and is plummeting in the home tv market.

The UH8500 is a 10 bit panel. Rtings was originally mistaken, avsforum proved that it is a 10 bit panel in the service menu. OLED does have some issues yes, but still perform better than LCD in...

Black Friday is only on low end garbage TVs. You won't ever see BF deals on high end TVs.

Wasn't aware this was an 8 bit panel (LG isn't very forthcoming about it in their marketing). That said some edge light bleed can be forgiven in my book considering it's a 3d screen and they require...

I'd say so. Most seem to think 4K under 60 inches is undesirable these days. Prices on 55" have dropped all over the place. I personally would only go below 60" if using the TV as a computer monitor.

So $700 for a 55" SUHD curved tv is about an average deal?

that's just about average since 55" is small by todays standards. but as long as you are happy with it, that's all that matters.

Black Friday has been disappointing for TV deals these past few years. Mostly cheap/low quality models.
