Honestly, if you take into account the screen color gamut and quality a similar PC is also fairly pricey, around the $1000 range. You're looking at HP Spectres and higher spec Dells.

The touch bar is pretty gimmicky, this would be better at 1199, but not a bad price. It's a great laptop with the Apple premium on top. No heavier than my MacBook Air with a much better screen.
