My 8-year-old wanted one for Christmas but I think he meant more of toy version as this is for professional. Any suggested for one a level lower than this?

I'm not a pro at all. I did play the piano when I was younger then I strayed away. I was interested in playing again so I opted for the CDP230 at Costco. I picked it up in the store so I did not have...

My mother is a pianist and taught me when I was a kid. I quit like a brat of course, but now I'm getting back into it. This is not a suitable piano for a professional. But for someone like me with...

Cool, thanks! Also, what do you think of this piano if you have any opinions on it overall? Like any concerns if you were to buy it?

Pianos haven't really changed in 100 years, other than the addition of midi which even my old 88 key from 2000. You should be good to go, especially for first time.
