This one uses induction heating, the ones you listed don't. That enables it to instantly micro adjust the temperature throughout the cooking process, supposedly much more so than non-induction rice...

Well, not this model, but I had Zoji induction rice cooker, and it was not really good especially for brown rice; after two days, rice turned dry, but the Cuckoo did a very good job and kept the rice...

they are pressurized rice cooker. They are better with both brown rice and multigrain. Zoji has a pressurized rice cooker which is about $400 if you prefer Zoji brand

just buy a rice cooker from china town. it is more about the rice you buy. yes, it is the best way... i do use a plastic collander to filter/strain the wash too
