I think the Rawlings mesh are even worse. However these gloves will be ok for light to moderate use. But I'm speaking of kids that use their glove 3-5days a week for practice and games 9 months out...

Just curious, would you say that "too broke in issue" is specific to Wilson's superskin...or synthetic/mesh gloves in general (Rawlings Pro Mesh, for example)? From my own experience, the lifespan...

It will more than do the job. My wife has a 12 year old one and I had one 15 years ago as we both played outfield in softball and baseball (exact same A2000 1799 model). They are both our favorite...

Ha, I agree with your son about the colors...especially being a Yankees fan. If you don't mind spending a little extra money (or if you're a DIY'er), you can re-lace it and swap out the web.

It states it is based on teh 1799 model look. This is not the 1799 model. "His A2000 HR13 Game Model glove had to keep up, so this season, his pattern is based on the 12.75" A2000 1799"
