I have a cheap Whistler XTR-135, its noisy, would this be a good upgrade? Also is this be used in states (or in Canada) where Radar Detectors are illegal?

Thanks for the reply. I don't really pay much attention to the bands, but I did today for my 150 mile round trip drive. I'll probably stay with what I have for now (rad450 as I mentioned earlier)....

It's been 14 years since your V1 has been updated, MANY updates have been released. The newer V1's you can customize to get way more range/sensitivity. Do some research on custom sweeps/band...

I'm in the market for one of these but am not familiar with any of it. I read Connecticut uses a certain band and the ones that they hold and trigger you a car at a time many detectors don't work....

Outdated high end radars still work. I have a 2003 Valentine One that I never updated and it still works amazing.

I was going to try to buy one of those cheap flashlight mounts for bikes and screw the windshield mount to it. A lot of people have had success with that and it's so much cheaper than the mounts on...
