This is a router, not a modem, so it should work with any internet provider.

It sounds like for your uses, this router should be a good cheap way to get 5GHz AC to relieve your 3-4 devices in your congested area. I'd say the Archer C7 is a bit of overkill. Just remember 5GHz...

How can I achieve Ludicrous speed? :P Thanks very much for this info. Would the Archer C7 be underutilized with our 10Mbps connection?

A repeater repeats Wi-Fi signal, thus extending range. Pretty sure you can. Ive done it on one before but cant be 100% certain unless you check the settings.

We have the exact same router. I'm ready for an upgrade too. The T-Mobile ASUS router (TM-AC1900) for $60 (refurb) looks to be a more powerful upgrade over this one.

Pass. bad/mediocre reviews on many consumer and expert sites. much rather have asus (t-mo) 1900 for $60 that pops up pretty often.
