In the age of the internet fax is severely deprecated, however if you need fax capabilities you can scan the documents and simply use a service like FaxZero(dot)com

Ink is so much cheaper then the HP my wife uses. I don't print anything but she does. Got her to give this a shot. This ink on Amazon is really cheap. Hope it works out.

Its like sample/Starter ink like the ones it come with when you buy a new printer, they felt lightweight. My cheap ink felt heavier.

Actually anyone dealing with SOME official documents can only fax them, PDF's are a no go. Just found this out myself with sending my signed e-file authorization documents to my tax service.
