Basically, the upshot seems to be 1) delete junk software the instant you plug it in 2) somewhat slow transfer speeds even then 3) not the sturdiest case but 4) if those things aren't critical, decent "budget buy" thumb drive. (And the "value per dollar" argument comes at around the $18 price point, so presumably $10 is even more attractive, if you are fine with the caveats.)
