Sears [sears.com] has the (11/22) 50'' Toshiba 50L2200U 1080p LED HDTV for $299.99 on Black Friday (Nov 22)
We have barely seen any 50" LED HDTV's for $500, so this $300 price tag is slick! The TV does not have WiFi or Apps, or many HDMI inputs but for $300, it does not need to. What you will get is a very good TV at an unbeatable price.

While most store descriptions aren't mentioning it for whatever reason (or mention it cryptically, like how ABT says it's "D-LED" [abt.com]), this is a full array/direct lit LED TV, as opposed to the much more common edge lit. Direct lit has much more even backlighting.

Also note that it's almost twice as thick as Toshiba's edge-lit LED LCD TVs, which is necessary in direct lit models because the LEDs are spaced out behind the screen instead of just being at the top and bottom.

Talked to a Sears rep trying to find out if they knew which door to wait by, during conversation, he said they had a max of 10 items and a minimum of 2. Not sure he's right but take it under advisement.

Also, does anyone know if Discover's recently added price protection covers Black Friday? The website doesn't have any exclusions that I can find.
