Dell has long had a reputation of making affordable, well-performing PCs across their whole product line. Their design, however, has always been something left to be desired – most of them looked little different from other manufacturer’s offerings. This has changed with the arrival of the XPS One, which shows that Dell is capable of producing computers that function as well as they look, and can rival the design of Apple Inc.
The XPS One exterior is formed by combining all internal computer components in a case which also hosts a 20" widescreen LCD. The conservative black and silver color scheme should integrate well into most room decors. While it takes seeing the XPS One in person to truly appreciate its design, we will do our best to share the experience with you from the comfort of your home.
Dell uses blue LED lights throughout and it accentuates the sleek color scheme of the monitor and speakers well. The right side of the XPS One has capacitive keys that respond with a blue glow when your finger hovers over them. This is a welcome feature for those who compute in the dark often or enjoy watching movies.
The XPS One has a slot loading DVD / CD Drive located on the right side of the computer. Upon inserting a DVD or CD, the eject button along with a half circle in the right speaker area lights up to indicate the presence of the disk. It can be removed by pushing the eject key or by using the respective key on the wireless keyboard.Previous Next
