The X850G is HDR10-, HLG-, and Dolby Vision compatible for enhanced detail, color, and contrast, and a wider range of brightness when combined with compatible content and source devices. |
Along with object-based HDR remaster and Super Bit Mapping 4K HDR technology, the 4K HDR Processor X1 helps provide enhanced depth, textures, and natural colors. |
TRILUMINOS Display technology is designed to map images from a wide color palette to help reproduce every shade and hue. |
Motionflow XR 960 is designed to create and insert extra frames between the original ones in a fast-motion scene. It compares key visual factors on successive frames, then calculates the split second of missing action in the sequences. |
4K X-Reality PRO uses two databases to help upscale each image to near-4K quality for enhanced clarity and reduced on-screen noise. |
The Dynamic Contrast Enhancer is engineered to provide brighter highlights, deeper blacks, and more natural tonal gradation. |
Control your TV and other connected devices using just your voice. |
With Google Home and Amazon Alexa compatibility, you can voice-control the TV and ask it to do things, such as cast and control videos from YouTube or adjust the volume. Apple HomeKit and AirPlay 2 compatibility, which would integrate your compatible iPhone, iPad, and Mac with the TV, are scheduled to be added via a future firmware update. |
You can run cables through the stand to achieve a clean, clutter-free look. |

You will need to have a device that does not support DV and only supports HDR10 like a ROKU to get around the poor DV darkness levels. Jury it out on if this is a Sony problem or not. You can spend hours and hours reading through the AVS thread. Some will claim its fine, others says its horribly dark.

the issue has been fixed for several months now,i have a 900f 85. it was never a problem using physical media, only via streaming. the streaming services have increased bandwidth for dv/atmos and problem resolved.
