Does the 900f still suffer from brightness issues in dark scenes when using Dolby Vision? Would having the new Nvidia Shield pro improve how DV looks on this TV?

Yes it does according to most. You probably have already been in this thread: https://www.avsforum.com/forum/16...k-350.html

You will need to have a device that does not support DV and only supports HDR10 like a ROKU to get around the poor DV darkness levels. Jury it out on if this is a Sony problem or not. You can spend hours and hours reading through the AVS thread. Some will claim its fine, others says its horribly dark.

Pulled the trigger on the X950G yesterday from Greentoe. $2999 and no tax. I've purchased a couple high cost items from Greentoe with no issues.

the issue has been fixed for several months now,i have a 900f 85. it was never a problem using physical media, only via streaming. the streaming services have increased bandwidth for dv/atmos and problem resolved.
