Depending on the lens, the EF to RF adapter is a great idea. Other times the RF equivalent (if available) could be worth the upgrade.

As for the camera, love my RP. I paid 1600 for the body and 24-240mm. The 24-105 STM is also a great lens, not quite L glass build quality, but optically it is a great lens. So long as you arent trying to shoot super high dynamic range shots this is a great general use camera. Pair it with DXO PL5 for denoise, and you can shoot just about anything even through ISO 25600.

I will still be waiting for my XT-3 without charger for $1.099 since i have a lot of lenses for the X Mount.

I still have all my EF L-series lenses from ~15-18 years ago...But would hate to buy the RP if the RP II is around the corner.
I had considered going back to Canon for photography. Currently shooting Sony. The ergonomics of the R, specifically the touch bar and non-spinning back control dial, makes it a non-starter. The RP, I need a better body type, more robust batteries (uses the M5 batteries), and more resolution. The R6 has only 20MPs, downgraded EVF from the R5, and no top LCD. The R5 is more than I want to pay right now.
The alternative is an used Sony A7RIV, which is about the price of a R6. I'll hold off to get an A7IV, which is now the price of an R6. Despite the price increase over the A7III, it seems to be best "current" multipurpose camera.
Note: The Nikon Z9 is a sexy beast.

I know Sony has been making great cameras, but wondering what the benefit is over the RP.
Speaking as someone with Canon lenses and a really old Rebel I want to replace.
