SD Tips: Find the Best Books Deals
If you end up dropping half your spending cash at the bookstore every month, it may be time to find a better way. Luckily, there are tons of ways to save on books and magazines, and we’ve put all those amazing deals right here in one spot. You can indulge your need to read while still sticking to your budget.
While Amazon may have made a name for itself in the book industry, and is still probably one of the easiest ways to get books on your Kindle, they don’t always have the best prices. The nice thing about buying books, though, is that used books are almost always a good buy, and there are tons of online and brick-and-mortar used books retailers. To start, check out Half.com. They’re owned by eBay (though there’s no bidding involved here) and have killer prices on books, including textbooks. eBay itself is also a good option, although they don’t have the selection that Half.com does. If you’re looking for rare or out of print books, check out Alibris, which works with a large network of independent booksellers in order to stock really rare finds. They also have a textbook rental program and many of their items ship for free. Plus, they offer lots of bonus coupons if you sign up for their newsletter.
If you want to read the latest bestseller, check out Books a Million. They have great prices on new books and offer frequent coupon codes. Additionally, if you’re looking for eBooks, the Books a Million site has tons of options at discounted prices. Plus, they offer pre-orders, so you can get those buzzed-about up-and-coming books as soon as they come out.
