Note to those using natural gas in the kitchen. If you let one of these humidifiers run for any amount of time, the minerals in the water that become airborne (namely calcium and chloride) will cause the traditional blue flame on the stove top to turn orange.

The humidifier can be on a different floor, as far from the kitchen as possible, but it will still affect the flame color. It's harmless - but if you're not aware that this can happen, you may freak out thinking there's something wrong with your stove.

Too many reviews about it just stop working suddenly. Also hard to clean with mold inside even with the "mold resistance".

just a heads up to those who are interested in buying.....

I had this and had to return because I found out that the center blue tube (where the mist travels through) was not accessible and there was absolutely no way you can clean the tube. The white cap on top is not removable

Supposedly they have a new model coming out? I read that previously in some reviews somewhere I think. So maybe they are pushing out inventory. Either way I previously bought one for over 50, and just bought a second just now. I like it better than some of the name brands. My kid loves the LED light.
