First time posting something hope this is all that's needed.
Not exactly related to this deal, but more towards Amazon Echo users. You've probably got an email about ordering about ordering a gift card or reordering something trough Alexa. I was able to order a gift card through Alexa and cancel it to get a $5 promo code. It took about a day for me to get the promo(but the email says up to 7 days) for the gift card and I just tried reordering/canceling something right now. We'll see if that works too. The gift card promotion ended yesterday sadly, but the reorder event is going on until the 30th.

my 2 cents - for someone who's cost conscious, you better think hard about your desired application and see if this deal meets the need - for me I just need under cabinet lighting in kitchen - to me there is no need for millions of colors - $65 is a bit much to ask for that. That being said, no need to knock a product just cuz it doesn't meet your needs if it will meet someone else's.

They're definitely for accent, though, and not illumination. I use my Gen 2 strips for under cabinet and recessed ambiance lighting. The Gen 1 are great (at that price point) under the bed and in the hallway with motion sensors, but these (Gen 2) are definitely what most people would want. And yes, they really are that much better.
And yes, lowest price ever from Amazon according to 3C's.
