First time posting something hope this is all that's needed.

Not exactly related to this deal, but more towards Amazon Echo users. You've probably got an email about ordering about ordering a gift card or reordering something trough Alexa. I was able to order a gift card through Alexa and cancel it to get a $5 promo code. It took about a day for me to get the promo(but the email says up to 7 days) for the gift card and I just tried reordering/canceling something right now. We'll see if that works too. The gift card promotion ended yesterday sadly, but the reorder event is going on until the 30th.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Don't really want to waste more time trashing Hue's Gen 1 light strips, but Gen 2 is more than 10x brighter (1600 vs 120 lumens) and can also produce white light (Gen 1 cannot). Personally, I don't see value in Gen 1 strips until it's below $20/strip, but they Gen1/Gen2 are not very similar.

sigh, so much ignorance here across the spectrum - between the anti-chinese sentiments and inability to fathom how people would pay more for a premium product, how is any of this helpful to anyone on the fence about this deal? From amazon webpage - origin: China. Just call it knock-offs, but admit that many of the things you own both quality and crap are made there.

my 2 cents - for someone who's cost conscious, you better think hard about your desired application and see if this deal meets the need - for me I just need under cabinet lighting in kitchen - to me there is no need for millions of colors - $65 is a bit much to ask for that. That being said, no need to knock a product just cuz it doesn't meet your needs if it will meet someone else's.

Best I've seen was 50 bucks from the Ebay deal but that was refurb. I got 4 and they came like new in box and work great. This is a great price for new!

Gen 3 A19 Bulbs on ebay right now $42.50 shipped.

Got a few for myself. Limited supply. Happy hunting.

gen 1 strip was $30 shipped from sams club and i think the main difference between gen 1 and this product (gen 2) is maximum brightness. it was a good deal for some secondary lighting or your first strip and this is probably a good deal on the latest gen product.

and for comparison, i recently paid $34 and $42 for 464503 from amazon [amazon.com] with various deals.

now if i can just find a super deal on the motion sensor.....

Gen 1 makes wonderful under bed / stairway / hallway night lighting, but yes, $20 a strip would be nice. I was willing to pay a tad more ($27/strip) from the Sam's deal for the convenience of integrating with my current 20+ bulb/strip Hue system.

They're definitely for accent, though, and not illumination. I use my Gen 2 strips for under cabinet and recessed ambiance lighting. The Gen 1 are great (at that price point) under the bed and in the hallway with motion sensors, but these (Gen 2) are definitely what most people would want. And yes, they really are that much better.

Subscribe and save brings it to $52.14 w/tax. That's pretty slick.

I saw these and have been on the fence. I recently installed the Gen1's I got from the Sam's Club deal. Wife loved them above the cabinets as accent lighting. Below the cabinets looked good too, but I wanted something better. I picked a couple of these up due to their increased brightness.

And yes, lowest price ever from Amazon according to 3C's.

crazy expansive. two years ago I purchased ebay warm white LED strip for under the cabinet (~$30) and then used a zwave outlet (~$25) behind my fridge connected to the LED strip. link it to my samsung hub v2 and alexa controls it perfectly fine
This is not the same thing at all. Sure, you can go that route if all you want is warm white lighting....or you could pay an extra $5 (give or take) to get a light strip that is much brighter and can do nearly every single color you could think of.
