work for you?
The way this works is that none of these "unlockers" or unlocking sites does the unlocking themselves, or if so, then very little. You basically need to have connections to people who have access to the Apple IMEI database, which could be people working for Apple, any carrier (ATT, TMO, Sprint, etc.,), authorized repair centers, refurbish and insurance companies (Asurion etc.). Say you get 10 unlock orders, then you need to spread orders to 2-3 different sources to not have them get busted. then these guys likely work for (process orders for) multiple people as well, so they need to sprinkle them in in between legitimate orders at work. Thus, it will take time. The person actually processing (doing) the unlock does not know what you paid at the site, and they don't update the site like unlock4less in real time, but rather in batches (hey I managed to get these 5 done today).
Thus, always best to just occasionally check your phone, and don't wonder/worries about who placed the order what day and time. Likely, different sources process all of our orders throughout the week and they need to sprinkle it in and cannot just process 500 unlocks for the same iPhone SE brand new Sprint phones in a batch. ;-) Patience, it will eventually come through. That also means the phone is then marked factory unlocked in the apple database. But it's not marked "paid off" in the Sprint system which Ting and others might have to verify. |

1. Model is A1723 (Sprint). Check to make sure bands are compatible with your carrier.
2. After third-party unlock, status will still show as unpaid bills.
3. Even after third-party unlock, these iphones will not work on Sprint network or other Sprint MVNOs.
4. After third-party unlock, these iPhones will work on some GSM carriers such as T-mobile and their MVNOs (with proper SIM card, of course).
5. Most third-party unlock services can unlock these iPhones without requiring you to open the sealed box.

that's great to hear that someone who ordered after me got priority even when I chose Express
For AT&T, no, the missing band 29 is not a big deal. IDK why that one guy is making a big deal out of it. It isn't a standalone network, so at best, it'll just boost your speed as part of carrier aggregation. And that's if AT&T has a license in your area and plans to build that network.

what determines whether the phone is unlocked at startup or whether someone has to restore through itunes?
