I've successfully unlocked these to work on T-Mobile/AT&T/Verizon. No issues.
That's not true. They completely lack Band 13, which is Verizon's main LTE band. These are NO GOOD for Verizon.

http://www.pcmag.com/news/343091/...r-agnostic

They are also missing AT&T's Band 29.

They are fine for TMobile or Sprint.

For anyone thinking of price matching these phones here are some pictures to help with that. I know that credit card companies may deny but for anyone willing to try here are some pictures.

Copied/pasted from the other thread:

For unlocking purposes:
This is copied over from a different thread; and people are having success with this.

Is the phone locked?
Yes, the phone is locked to Virgin Mobile and will need to be unlocked.

Can this phone be unlocked?
NOT AT THIS MOMENT

Unlocking process explained:
https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=99693312&postcount=465

Where can I get the phone unlocked?

There is not a proven service available at this moment. unlock4less failed for $19 and now wants >TRIPLE that.
Using express, THEY FAILED TO UNLOCK.

You can try an alternate unlock service via eBay(search on Ebay yourself, there are a lot unlock service for Sprint/Boost/Virgin, if they have good review and sold some items recently, then it's safe). i.e.: FoneStreet [ebay.com] with 12-48 hour turnaround time. More sellers below:
Avoid unlock4less like the plague:

1. They failed their promise, most express service takes more than 3 business days. While other ebay sellers can do it fast, see this
2. They're not using first come first serve. See this
3. There is no easy way or maybe impossible to get your money back if they failed. The credit is left in their system. No button to withdraw it.

Unlock instructions for Unlock4less
1. Go to http://unlock4less.com/ and create an account
2. Add funds to your account. If you're adding funds from PayPal you will have to pay the fee.(Minimum $20, so even it's $17.50, you need to put $20!!!!)
3. Wait until the fund are shown in your account in "Available" tab (may take awhile)
4. Click on place order up at the top
5. Under the drop down look for "iPhone" section and scroll down until you find "USA Sprint / Boost /Virgin Mobile iPhone 4S/5/5C/5S/6/6+/6s/6s+/SE Premium" click on it AS OF 5/8/2017 It should only be $19.50
6. Click on "Place order"
7. Your phone may take up to 7 business days to unlock.

Once unlocked, this iPhone SE(A1723) may work on Verizon and AT&T, but not perfectly because it doesn't support all bands for Verizon and AT&T. It will not work with Sprint because there is "unpaid bills". It will work with TMobile perfectly.

These are NO GOOD FOR VERIZON - they don't have Verizon's MAIN LTE Band 13!!!!!

Quote from kamaaina :
The way this works is that none of these "unlockers" or unlocking sites does the unlocking themselves, or if so, then very little. You basically need to have connections to people who have access to the Apple IMEI database, which could be people working for Apple, any carrier (ATT, TMO, Sprint, etc.,), authorized repair centers, refurbish and insurance companies (Asurion etc.). Say you get 10 unlock orders, then you need to spread orders to 2-3 different sources to not have them get busted. then these guys likely work for (process orders for) multiple people as well, so they need to sprinkle them in in between legitimate orders at work. Thus, it will take time. The person actually processing (doing) the unlock does not know what you paid at the site, and they don't update the site like unlock4less in real time, but rather in batches (hey I managed to get these 5 done today).

Thus, always best to just occasionally check your phone, and don't wonder/worries about who placed the order what day and time. Likely, different sources process all of our orders throughout the week and they need to sprinkle it in and cannot just process 500 unlocks for the same iPhone SE brand new Sprint phones in a batch. ;-)

Patience, it will eventually come through. That also means the phone is then marked factory unlocked in the apple database. But it's not marked "paid off" in the Sprint system which Ting and others might have to verify.
So as of August 20, has anyone been able to unlock the phone? Unlock4less finally gave up (even at $60) and refunded the money without the questions.

Your comment cannot be blank.

Just buy it on Newegg or Amazon and do a price match with your cc.
Quick FYI that may help those unlocking iPhones purchased from Boost or VM:
1. Model is A1723 (Sprint). Check to make sure bands are compatible with your carrier.
2. After third-party unlock, status will still show as unpaid bills.
3. Even after third-party unlock, these iphones will not work on Sprint network or other Sprint MVNOs.
4. After third-party unlock, these iPhones will work on some GSM carriers such as T-mobile and their MVNOs (with proper SIM card, of course).
5. Most third-party unlock services can unlock these iPhones without requiring you to open the sealed box.

There's apparently an RSIM 12 on its way out soon.

Also noticed that some eBay sellers are dropping prices on the unlock. Anyone heard anything about why this might be happening?
All I can say is that I like this trend. All the semi-premium ones failed me with ATT or Virgin. Cheapest I found that actually works was $75 for ATT GoPhone SE. Virgin I am trying to sign-up for the circle plan and get it unlocked through them. Not sure about boost.

I got a Turbo Sim off ebay. I go to the emercacy dial pad and enter *5005*7672*00#

I can get to the screen where it says pick carrier and I select other (for outside US). I select one of the options (its in Chinese) for 4G. Then it says enter carrier 7 digit pin. I have tried all three I found on the internet). After I enter the pin and hit send, nothing happens and it goes back to the emergency dial pad.

So is this because of this new block by Apple?

Can confirm that the Boost SE is compatible with sprint 1 year free service and is eligible for unlock after 50 days of service. Must port a number though.

Tried swift unlocks, and unlock4less and they couldn't do anything after 3 attempts that took a month each.
Hi, I bought this phone but never activated (updated to IOS 11.1.1)... can you give me brief steps explaining how to make it compatible with sprint 1year free service ??

yeah it works on sprint no problem with their free one year promotion. I just called and activated the IMEI over the phone when I received the SIM card I ordered. It was active within 1 hour of the call. The next day I called to see if i could unlock it and was told I need at least 50 days of service before unlock. Just pick up the SIM card from the sprint store so you don't need to pass the online eligibility with an unlocked phone if you don't have one.

Did u get ur phone unlock from sprint?

update:

I've been using VM SE 32GB under Cricket (with RSIM 11) since this thread started.

I've recently discovered the following way " unlocked by ICCID edit using RSIM 12".

https://www.nickycapo.com/iccid

I can confirm that following Carrier/SIM works after unlocking (without RSIM12 inside)

Cricket (GSM)

Xfinity (CDMA)

Xfinity(Verizon) 's LTE data works just fine where I live (20120).

Hope this helps

Another update. Since this model SE lack band 13 for Verizon. I often find this phone in "No Service" when inside where cellular signal is weak. Another finding is once you are in "No Service" state it stays like that unless I go in and out of Airplane mode which searches for the cellular signal. Therefore though it technically supports some bands of Verizon it does not work fully for Verizon.

That's because sprint and boost phones are model A1723 which are international models, all other usa carriers use A1662.
