Terms: $6,000 Retail Bonus Cash available on all 2017 Sonata Limited, 2.0T (Sport and Limited) purchased from dealer stock between 7/6/17 and 7/31/17. Customers who participate in a Special Lease or Low APR program through Hyundai Motor Finance (HMF) do not qualify for Retail Bonus Cash.
Additional rebates you may qualify for:
$750 rebate for financing with HMF (I got this)
$1000 rebate for Uber, just sign up to be a driver and show your profile showing you're active (got this)
$1000 mobility (Didn't get this)
$500 Boost up matching (must sign up 30 days prior) (Didn't get this)
$500 Military (Didn't get this)
$400 College (Didn't get this)

I just bought my 17 Sonata Limited on May 1st. I was deciding between the Sport with value package and Limited. But there was a $2000 difference in rebate between the Sport and Limited so they would come out to about the same price. So I heard about a $1000 rebate for being an Uber driver to I signed up last week and became an Uber driver and gave one ride. You actually don't even have to give a ride to get the rebate, just print out your profile where it shows that you are active. I went to one dealership that had the car I wanted in stock. I tried to haggle, but the price was higher than another dealer that didn't have the car in stock. I found out that the TrueCar price was lower than my haggle price, so I would recommend using TrueCar. I bought the car from a TrueCar dealer that had the car I wanted in stock.

Here are the details of my deal:
17 Sonata Limited MSRP $28,300:
Selling price: $19,729 - $1000 Uber - $750 HMF rebate = $17,979 + TTL ($1,521) = $19,500 out the door.

FAQs:
Q1. Do you have a monthly payment? Do you mind sharing of you did?
A1. Yes, it's $166/m for 3 years since I put $14,000 down because of the high 5.59% interest rate. I will pay off in a few months.
Q2. Where did you purchase your car? Nationwide offer?
A2. In the South. The rebates are nationwide but dealer discount varies, so use TrueCar.
Q3. When buying a car do they look at paying for it on a credit card the same as handing them cash for it or can u still get a better deal with cash in hand?
A3. They won't let you pay all off on credit card. Most dealers let you put max of $2,000, but it varies.
Q4. What's the warranty?
A4. 5y/60K bumper to bumper, 10y/100,000 powertrain
Q5. Does it have VTEC(fanboi Q)?
A5. No, that's a Honda, this is a Hyundai, different manufacturer. Its not "VTEC" but does have variable valve timing.... and TURBO
Q6. Lucky.. it specifically states if you finance through HMF you cannot get the retail bonus cash. How'd you get both?
A6. It means if you finance and get the promotional rate, 0%, you can't get the $6,000 rebate
Q7. Can a car be an impulse buy?
A7. Yes, just like most things on SD, it's an impulse buy
Q8. What did you install to qualify for the mobility discount?
A8. I wasn't clear earlier, I just listed all the rebates. I did not qualify for that one, or military, or college, or boost up
Q9. Isn't the Sport a better deal?
A9. No, the Limited is a much better deal. There's a regular Sport and a Sport with Value Package which adds sunroof, smart trunk, proximity key and push button start, heated seats, leather and cloth seats. But the discount is only $4000.
The Limited adds Blind Spot Detection (BSD) with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist, Leather seats, LED taillights, power passenger seat, Dual zone automatic climate control, rear air vents, homelink mirror, and auto up down passenger window. But the rebate is $6000. So you're getting all this for a few hundred $ more than the Sport with Value package.

I used the $1000 Uber deal last month on a lease for a Hyundai Elantra. Not all dealers seem to know about it, or at least pretend they don't, but it's legit. Just show them your Uber dashboard from your phone. Signing up for Uber took less than 24 hours.

Every dealer I've dealt with over the years will only take a deposit on CC and will want the rest via check. They vary on how big of a deposit you can put on CC but if I recall correctly it was about 3k.

Looks like great deal. Checked my local and they also had tons of Sonata limited for around 19k(MSRP $28k) and Elantra Limited for around 15k(MSRP $23k). Waiting on their new Ioniq to go on sale.

Good deal. Is it across US or specific state that you are in.
