1. porting a number from T Mobile and or
2. bringing your own device
you may not be able to active the SIM and or any plan online or even on the phone. You have to go into a corporate store (not a franchise store).

Its a pain in the behind. Their sim activation system is messed up beyond reason.

Huh? I've purchased these three times in the past year (to access AT&T OTA updates) and each time it arrived activated with provided phone number.

That said, this isn't a deal as much it is a loophole. GoPhone SIMs have always been available at this price when choosing the $.25 plan at checkout.

Definitely comes activated. I got one of these a few weeks ago just to upgrade my ZTE ZMax 2 firmware to Android 6.1. It came 2 day delivery.

I have a GoPhone which was successfully unlocked from a previous deal. I now use this on FreeedomPop's LTE service but would like to gain the latest OTA updates. If I buy this sim do I use the real IMEI info? (ie is there a risk that I could lose my unlock?) Do I need to add a balance to the sim for the 25c plan? Thank you.

From AT&T Go Phone website, chat rep said if sim is not user with 30 days, it'll be deactivated. Dunno if it's true or not. Wanted to buy a sim without paying almost nothing to park a number.
