I love these Airpods, even if the audio quality is below subpar.(worse than $20 wired earphones from JBL and Sony) Their convenience can't be beat. I keep them in my shirt pocket.

Make sure you pay for these with a credit card that has loss/damage protection for at least 12 months. Smilie I've already lost them twice. (one at a time) My left ear is probably a little large and that one always falls out at random times(such as on a plane or walking around the office) Fortunately, my credit card's insurance reimbursed me(for the entire pair, thankfully) Now I'm wearing them with a 99-cent silicone band that I got from eBay. Yes, I know.. kind of defeats the purpose... but I'm afraid of losing them a third time.

why would anyone buy these? sound quality is terrible, they're not water/sweat proof, they're ugly, and wayyy over priced.

Apple fan boys..

They praise apple for removing the headphone zack and introducing these for more money, design in way where they get lost and people spend more to buy it. They look awful though. I travel a lot and seen folks walking and talking wearing these reminding me the Bluetooth headphoneslaugh out loud

Because of the SoC in them they're actually pretty expensive to manufacture. Apple sells them without much profit -- definitely the lowest margin product that they currently offer.
