Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I just chatted with sprint CSR and was wondering about 2 different plans to take advantage of the Best Buy deals.

Below is what I was told:
Quote :
Shirley R.: I have checked and found that you have special highly discounted plan i.e. Unlimited Bring your device plan. As result of this you can't have two plan.

thank you, I just spoke to sprint person. she just said the same. start an account with the IMEI of the listed devices, then walk into a sprint store to get a sim specific to s8, call up customer care again to swap the phone. simple

The rep sent me the same device check link...
Still, it couldn't pass the device check. Frown

Any special ph number I could call?
The rep is clueless. You can try Sprint tech reps at 866-556-7310. Keep trying until you get someone who knows how to do it. LiterallyUnlimited says he will not change the MVNO flag for any Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile or Sprint Prepaid devices as it may put his job in jeopardy, so if your device is one of those, you are at the mercy of Sprint clueless reps.

I got tmobile note 5 with FreedomPop service I want to port in with sprint I already got one line port in with sprint last week can I do the note 5 one
T-Mobile Note 5 has no support (hardware and firmware) for Sprint network.
Quote from hdlz :
just checking- any working smartphone works for the trade in, even the cheap $20 prepaid phone ?
You can trade in a Ford Pinto too.... I think you posted on the wrong thread Big Grin
Quote from mattb7189 :
Thanks macrokelvin! So I could swap my SIM card on the Moto X Pure tothe S8 and still keep the deal?
Yes, swap it yourself online from your Sprint account or call Sprint.
Quote from badpav :
How about Moto X 2nd gen? Wanted to get one more line for my wife. Is it possible to make device not in the list work?
What is the model number/part number?
Quote from huge :
My plan says BYOD unlimited on the main screen, but when I click on the details, it lists the $45 2GB plan. My data usage is also not showing up. Is this normal? Will it fix itself eventually?
I called and the sprint guy said that I don't qualify for the BYOD unlimited plan because I upgraded my phone, but most of the reps are clueless so I'm not sure. I just bought one of those $2.50 a month iPhones and already paid it off.
Without knowing the history of your account, we can't give you any suggestion/answer (i.e., you have to provide more info). I am guessing Putin hacked your account Big Grin
Quote from supa2001 :
If I already have an account with Sprint from BB iphone SE deal, am I still eligible for this?
Am I considered "new customer" once I cancel those lines?

TIA
No.
Quote from bigdaikon :
I have not been able to get a straight answer from sprint...

I am on a family plan, contract over. Can I sign up for a new line in my name and port my existing number over to it and still get this deal (I don't want to lose my current #)?

Also, I have a sprint LG G4. Can I use that or do I have to buy a phone on the list, then switch to the G4 once everything is set up?

Thank you!
Family plan on which carrier?
Quote from broncosfan :
Have you received any concrete confirmation of any of the bonuses?

I signed up for the $50 referral, had store rep put in for the $400 Healthcare/3 ported lines, and the $100 credit union. I didn't sign up for the AA miles, because I think somebody said it is either the miles or the credit union but not both and didn't want to risk $100 for miles I may not ever use.
I think the more people call Sprint and alert Marcelo Claure, the less chance of getting them Big Grin If Sprint follows the T&Cs, you already knew the answer.
Quote from akhere :
has anyone successfully added a new line online on BB website for SE offer when account already had a free year plan line?
please reply fast as i am on final page but bestbuy did not ask me to select a plan etc...

edit:
got this when continuing..

"Based on your account history, Sprint requires you to make a down payment on the phone you're buying today. As a result, your monthly payment amount has been lowered."
Without knowing the history of your account, I am guessing you are near your credit limit from Sprint. You can ask Sprint to increase your credit limit or do down payment. You can put down as much down payment as you want as long as you keep a minimum of $0.24 ($0.01 x 24) on the installments.

Quote from Vathana :
Not sure why it took me so long to figure out, but hopefully this helps out others who have poor reception and need Wi-Fi calling to work.

For those that are using an unlocked Samsung S8/S8+ and would like to activate Sprint's Wi-Fi calling without having to flash the Sprint ROM, the instructions to turn the feature on is not as straight forward as you'd think it would be. I kept looking under Connections, Wifi, More Connection settings and assumed I was missing Wi-Fi calling because the unlocked phone didn't support it.

To turn on Wi-Fi Calling:

1. Open the default phone dialer
2. Click on the 3 dots on the upper right hand corner and go to Settings
3. Scroll all the way down and turn Wi-Fi calling to on.
4. Update and register your E911 address
If you had searched/read my posts, you would had figured it out sooner. The unlocked S8 comes with multi-CSC preloaded on it's firmware, so wi-fi calling works out of the box Big Grin

Oh brother. I signed up for this deal thinking is was fantastic. Then I just found out that if you are on so called "extended lte" you are using roaming and you only get 100 mb per month with a hard cap. Even when I complained they couldn't give me an extra 50 mb just to get me by until I can switch back to Verizon. What a total bust! I still saved 50 bucks for 2 weeks of this experiment. Sprint is definitely going out of business.
Did they shut off your data completely after 100mb? I would be roaming on Verizon a lot.

I got my bill this morning. I'm getting charged $54.91! Called them, they are "investigating" about the problem.
