Please remember, if your phone was a Boost, Virgin or Sprint Prepaid phone that you purchased to activate on R+ or Ting, it will likely FAIL the FED check that Sprint has and is not eligible to be brought over to Sprint for this deal.
I told you so.
Already answered your question. Don't upgrade if you want to keep your free lines.
To use the S8 as a second line, you would need another number to port in. You can swap device anytime; you cannot upgrade (i.e., lease a new phone or buy a new phone with installments) on the free line prior to 10/1/17. The reps gave you wrong info.
Yes, you have to pair the SIM to the new device before you can activate it. You can do this yourself online if you already have access to your Sprint account online; else, you have to call Sprint.
I called and the sprint guy said that I don't qualify for the BYOD unlimited plan because I upgraded my phone, but most of the reps are clueless so I'm not sure. I just bought one of those $2.50 a month iPhones and already paid it off.
If it was free line phone upgrade then not sure how u did it as most of us get eligible in 2019 message. Please confirm

Am I considered "new customer" once I cancel those lines?
TIA

I am on a family plan, contract over. Can I sign up for a new line in my name and port my existing number over to it and still get this deal (I don't want to lose my current #)?
Also, I have a sprint LG G4. Can I use that or do I have to buy a phone on the list, then switch to the G4 once everything is set up?
Thank you!
