Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Lucky with that hint from luckygecko.

I have hotspot til July 31 but I'm with you on this. Free til March 2020 is irresistible.
Ah you correctly linked the two together. Getting inside the minds of Sprint product management a little.

Yes I not like giving up hotspot but, for my limited purposes (being all Android and PC with no iPhone), PDANet+ is almost as good.

Congratulations on calling the kickstart extension ahead of time!

Did you learn that from Sales? Or are you an insider? (Just curious, you do not have to say of course)..

Not an insider.

I learned from a supervisor when they were trying to troubleshoot an order of mine. It got canceled due to me reaching my 5-line limit (I did not realize that the Sprint Drive device would count) and they could not reinstate at the promotion price when I dropped one of the BYOD free devices that was about to expire, because it was the day after the Kickstart promotion ended earlier this month. The supervisor asked me to be patient for a few days for the promotion would be coming back and to re-sign up.

Ironically, I called later in the day and the number port in was still pending even though there was a canceled order. The system allowed them to port in the number and it added it automatically to the Kickstart plan. [Complex online transaction systems are fun!] (and there was one multi-line activation fee of $30 vs each line)

Hi, I have a situation here with my bill. Just received my bill due Jan 30 with a charge of 86.34. I used to pay $20 for the 5 line. I did the Metropcs 6s promo, ported out 4 of the 5 lines and ported back within a day or two. Everything looks fine at the time, the rep didn't mention any charge and I was told that these line will still with the one year free plan remaining. When going into the bill details, looks like they charge the 4 ported lines $19 each ( $22.17-$3.17 autopay discount) The only 1 line which I didn't touch has no extra charge. What should I do? What is the charge coming from? Please help? I am totally at loss.Thank you in advance. BTW, I was about to port the line out and use wife 's ssn for another year.

Looks like they charged me for additional lines added to the account?

They sneaked in Sprint Complete - protection for smartphone $19.00

Remove it from services on each line. I had issues doing it online, had to use chat.

As for the existing bill, I asked and was promissed that it will be removed but there is no change. I'm gonna chat with them again now asking to adjust the existing bill.

Some bad news for you - I was not able to make them adjust my current bill. Good luck making them remove it in your existing bill, I failed. Instead, what they said, the next one will have a credit for the amount they billed for Sprint Complete.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. But looks like it's not device protection. I remember I have removed it after the rep added the protection. The system may believe that I added additional lines when I ported back.

Ah very good!

Their kickstart promotions probably have to be firmed up well ahead of time because they are available through dealers as well.

There are only 2 ways to cancel:

(1) Port out (takes effect immediately)
(2) Call the general support number and ask for Retentions (takes effect at end of billing cycle)

There is no other way. You cannot do it by chat.

See wiki.

+1
PDANet+ is almost as good.
works well for what i need .
right now i dont use it extended time (just 5-10 minutes here and there)

in near future i see myself paying the (~$10?) for full version

i lost HS about ~1 month ago.
had to port number for metro deal.
traded HS (& ~$165) for $800 in apple products and a new 1 year sprint plan.
