DEWALT 20-Volt Max Lithium Ion Trimmer and Blower Combo $199 B&M

http://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT...301363233?

I called my local store and they told me that it will start with the 6/22 ad. They told me they had 6 in stock.

This was previously a frontpage deal at $239.

As of ~2:30PM CST, item is gone from the website. But, item is still available in stores. (Limited stock. From what others have gathered, each store may have received six units.)

Don't forget that Home Depot matches Menard's 11% rebate offer (at stores with Menard's as a local competitor), and Menard's has their 11% offer this week, perfectly overlapping with this deal - https://www.homedepotrebates11percent.com. Here's a list of HD stores that are part of this offer:https://www.homedepotrebates11per...799920.pdf. IMPORTANT: "Offer only applies to in-store purchases at participating locations", so buying online (shipping, or in-store pickup) won't get you the 11% back.

If your local store has no stock, but you have a Chase Freedom card (possibly others too), shopping HD through Chase's portal gives you 2% cash back: https://ultimaterewardspoints.cha...with-chase

Discover card also has 5% cashback Bonus running on Home Improvement Stores

I sat on the line for about 30 minutes. Not a very good use of time.

Amazon has this one;
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZ8K...46543&sr=3

I have used the "Tell us about a cheaper price" form.
Potentially if enough people submit they will drop the price?

I have this set after getting the drill / impact driver combo. The Blower is decent, great for deck and quick driveway jobs. Not as powerful as my gas blower, but very light and handy. It only lasts about 15 minutes with a 5AH battery. The string trimmer is also nice. Good for electric and makes touch up work easy enough for my kids to help!

Is the trimmer powerful? I bought a 20v Black and Decker and is very disappointed because it doesn't trim very well due to lack of power. I have to sit at a spot a few seconds to get it to cut.

I have like 6 Dewalt batteries and home Depot guy sold me on the ego instead. It rips through things easy, lasts about 45+ minutes on single charge

I've got both of these. They're okay. the string trimmer works well enough on the high setting. it rips through grass. the issue I have is that my lawn is not well kept at all. I just let whatever grow so it's all dandelions and clovers and other garbage. it still cuts through it but not nearly as well. I trim my neighbors house as well as my own and its quick and painless. I can take the battery from the trimmer, drop it into the blower and blow all the debris away on the same charge. it even moves the wet grass that I have to clear out of my mower but to be honest its not super powerful.
I have a gas powered trimmer, and I'd take the 20v trimmer over it every day.
I do not have any other blower and I know this one is underpowered compared to electric or gas but for my basic needs its been solid.

I was trying to find a way to land this deal in store last week, think this is the missing link. Until a store SKU is listed in the description, this deal cannot be available?

Need the bare tool blower available to create the package deal.

None in stock at any store in a 100 mile radius of me in Nor Cal. If you read the questions asked on the product this seems to be the norm as all 3 questions were asked why do some stores show them in stock yet don't have them in stock and why you cannot order them online? Not good!

Am I able to purchase the combo and return the Trimmer? It looks like the Blower is a bare tool. I already have the Trimmer.

Called my store and they said they had 15 but couldn't find them anywhere. I suspect they are being held for a future sale like OP mentioned... or they were all sold 2 weeks ago and my store has bad inventory numbers

20 volt blower is weak. You could blow better then this. EGO 56V is the way to go
Power is not measured in voltage though. Power = Voltage x Amps. So someone could make a 20V blower that is more powerful (wiring would have to be larger for higher amps)

20V Dewalt
90 MPH
400 CFM

56V Ego
92 MPH
480 CFM
http://www.homedepot.com/p/EGO-92.../204753716

So yes the Ego is better but not 2.75 times better. And is $170 for blower/batt/charger.

*Ego does also make several different blowers.

Related conversation:

Total Energy is Volt x AH.

Dewalt in this deal
20V x 5.0AH = 100VAH = 0.100kwh

Ego in link
56V x 2.0AH = 112VAH = 0.112kwh

Ego 56V battery has 12% more capacity. It would have less capacity than a flexvolt 6.0AH at 20V.
