Slingshot® is a three-wheeled motorcycle. It is not an automobile, it does not have airbags, and it does not meet automotive safety standards. Three wheel vehicles may handle differently than other vehicles, especially in wet conditions. Always wear DOT approved full face helmet and fasten seat belts. Driver may need a valid motorcycle endorsement. Don't drink and drive. ©2017 Polaris Industries Inc.

The Polaris Slingshot Accessories website designates the accessories designed to fit your vehicle. Follow the website instructions to determine which accessories you can install on your vehicle. When adding accessories, equipment, passengers and luggage to your vehicle, do not exceed the total weight capacity of the vehicle or of the front or rear axle (GVWR or GAWR as indicated on the Safety Compliance Certification label). Ask an authorized dealer for specific weight information if you need assistance. It is the owner's responsibility to use the Polaris Slingshot Accessories website as a tool for limiting the amount of accessories, based on maximum allowable vehicle weight requirements. For a complete listing of the accessories that are available for your vehicle, please contact your authorized dealer or visit the online store web site. It may be a violation of the Clean Air Act or the NHTSA regulations to disregard these requirements

you can find the dealer codes by going to find a dealer (https://www.polaris.com/en-us/dea...=san+diego) hover over "Get Internet Price" for a given dealer and look at the url where it would say for example

Code:
http://www.polaris.com/en-us/slingshot/quote?DealerID=02946900
SOUTH BAY MOTORSPORTS
Distance: 11 Mi
1890 AUTO PARK PLACE
CHULA VISTA, CA 91911
619-420-2300
DealerID=02946900

idk if virtual test drives will work for this like they do for kia, chrysler etc but its worth posting the info for how to find dealer codes
CALIFORNIA SPEED-SPORTS
Distance: 11 Mi
2310 NISSEN DRIVE
LIVERMORE, CA 94551

I've been seeing people test drive these lately, 2 or more at a time. Nobody has worn a helmet each time or any kind of gear. It's probably more of a "we recommend" kind of thing.

I think they classify this as an enclosed 3-wheeler, hence no helmet needed in most states if you are over 21. https://support.eliomotors.com/hc/en-us/articles/203503300-Does-my-state-law-require-me-to-wear-a-he... [eliomotors.com]
