As for what it charged. I saw 0¥ on the confirmation page and I've still got my left over $2 in gift cards so it charged nothing (least pretty sure it'll still use gift cards first when not English).
Once you get your zoo to a certain size, the game won't let you build anything else without destroying something you've already built. I couldn't believe it when I ran into the limit. My zoo was tiny!

it might Auto download in Japanese if your Xbox is on, but cancel the download in progress or uninstall and when you reinstall from the Xbox it will choose the correct region automatically.
