I would've been all over this if it was the Kayano 22 or earlier. Asics killed this model for me with the 23's. It feels more like a slipper than a running shoe now.

found one in my size - thanks for sharing! I've been running on Gel Kayano's for 5 years and it is tough to find them for under $100! I'll be running my 20th half marathon in November - you can never have too many spares!

Good deal , awful shoe.
Had Kayano since the 20 model and this one is really the most uncomfortable. I am switching from Asics to Brooks, seems like these guys lost their sense about designing the right shoe. It was a downward slope since the successful 21's

It has a lot of varying opinions. Some like the new improvements better with a little break in. It's free return shipping so ordering one and trying for yourself wouldnt hurt

They basically removed all of the support and really increased the amount of space in the toe box. So my foot just moves around way too much in them now. Might be great for others, but it doesn't work at all for me. Compare the photos of the 22's and 23's on Amazon and you can see what I mean. There is no more leather/stitching on top of the toe box.

I've worn the Kayanos for 10+ years and usually stock up on prior year models when they go on sale/clearance. I'm still living off my stock of Kayano 21s, as I have read reviews that the 22s and 23s had some negative changes, especially with the toe box. I also tried both versions in the store and the reviews were right.

I was also looking to switch, but looks like the 24s were just released and initial reviews note that it appears that Asics has made changes that bring the shoe more consistent with pre-22/23 models.

Unfortunately it being a newly released model, they are only available at full retail, but I'll look to try them on when they start dropping in price later in the year.

I too have worn Kayanos for a while (~15 years). I like the 23s quite a bit, but people's feet differ a lot.

Man the 23's look super generic and poorly constructed compared to the Kayano pairs I've had in the past. Unfortionately, I'm going to pass on this.
