Given that I heard horrible story that people got denied of CC CDW claim because of using dollar off coupon because full rental charge is not put on the CC".

Personally I am avoiding any dollar off coupon or mile redeem discount on any car rental.wave

The best deal I got was MUWA148

which is Spend $175 - Enjoy $25 off Base Rates
Got a full size car for 5 days july 4th weekend for 307.52

do you think this would stack with "Get $20 off when you prepay with Visa Checkout"

EDIT*********

I just called Avis to find out and see if I could take advantage of this deal as well and the rep cut my price to $292.13 ! OMG

5 days full size car rental $292.13 , 58.43 a day Unlimited Mileage. How do you guys feel about this price?

This is a cynical scam. Avis thinks we're stupid.

The mandatory landing page for the Visa Checkout offer makes it impossible to enter a coupon.

EVERYBODY uses a coupon at Avis. So basically this stupid Visa Checkout offer makes your final total worse than anything you could get using a coupon.

Again, Avis literally thinks you're stupid (but cut a deal with Visa and will profit from that).

The only deficient in the intelligence department is you. I, and am sure others, was able to use an AWD discount AND received $20 off just fine. A one way mini van rental for less than $34 sure beat Uber or parking at the airport is surely slick.

Just make your booking normally with whatever AWD you qualify for and then check out, prepay via Visa Checkout.

Just checked CostCo travel rental and it was cheper than my previous booking. AVIS says $700 for a weekly rental whereas costCo is only $300

If you have the ability to put together a sentence, then you understand the difference between COUPON and AWD. Or maybe after all you're "deficient in the intelligence department" which is a wordy way of saying DUMB.

Hint for the dumb: $20 is much less savings than a coupon deducting one day's cost from a weekend rental.
