It's totally subjective but in most arguments, people like the QC35 for the better noise-canceling and comfort whereas the 1000x produces better sound.

Mind you I've never owned a pair of custom IEM, but I've used good isolating IEM, like the Triple-Fi. When I'm on long flights, IEM become painful and my Bose QC25 are much more comfortable.
