I used to subscribe. They'd upgraded the app a lot lately and it's much easier to use. The library is massive and has fairly recent stuff- they embargo the last year so there's still incentive to buy the physical books but otherwise they have quite a bit. Worth checking out.

I think the embargo is just six months. For anyone interested, definitely worth exploring. The annual plan is a much better bargain than the monthly, but free beats it!

I did this deal once years ago. The app was terrible and there was far, far less then I thought available digitally. I cancelled my subscription on time but was still billed for the next cycle. Emails squared it away but still. It was a pain in the butt. I don't even think I want an improved app. I like reading comics with photo viewer on Windows. I prefer that to Kindle on my tablet or computer. I like being in control of what I see and how I zoom.

Marvel Unlimited is pretty sweet honestly. I had it for a year. I cancelled only because I wasn't using it nearly as much because Netflix added their "available for download" feature. Made my options on a plane much easier.

The thing about marvel/disney is that they're a pain in the butt to unsubscribe from. Signed up for 1 disney outlet, got emails from 5+, none of them ever stop haunting me. D:

Thanks! I signed up and entered in my credit card information (used ShopSafe from BoA and set a limit for the temporary card for less than the monthly sub).

Any recommendations for someone new to comics? What's on your must-read list?

The Captain America run by Brubaker is fabulous. If you liked Winter Soldier movie you'll like the inspiration. Alias, is a fantastic series. Where Jessica Jones comes from. The Hawkeye series are weird and off beat but interesting. Not this latest one, though.

Warning: the whole process to enter your CC and sign up takes one page. There is no final "place your order" page like on Amazon. Be EXTREMELY certain you have applied the coupon code before entering any type of payment method... now I have to deal with Marvel customer support to fix my mistake (to be fair, the UI of their website should be much more user friendly).
