I actually bought this last night and was going to post this deal until I did a search and found you posted it 26 minutes ago. This is a bargain for quality patio furniture and will probably sell out soon. I almost thought it was a price mistake since the other same models in different colors are $300 more. This is going to go great with our $76k pool that's being built!

What makes this quality so high in comparison to its competitors?im not doubting, just curious. I did some research on outdoor wicker furniture and the only quality standard difference I could find was aluminum as opposed to powder coated steel because aluminum won't rust. But what else am I missing because that doesn't add $800 value over a steel set.

Sunbrella cushion and fabric go a long way. The competitors use cheap stuff that can't take rain.

I bought a bigger L-shaped set from Costco last summer for the same price but different brand and the cushions aren't as plush. Nice otherwise. If I didn't buy that I'd buy this. Wish I had fluffier cushions like this shows.

I read some of the reviews on the other Portofino furniture and I came away less then impressed. Initial performance is great but lots of people complaining the covers on the cushions didn't hold up after a year.

People were complaining about some cheap liner on the inside disintegrating and then when the covers get washed they fell apart. Not sure if this set is the same, but I'm going to pass.

I think the other poster stated as well in that you got sunbrella branded cushions and like you said it is aluminum frame that is light weight and doesn't rust. Also you got the backing of Costco's guarantee/warranty!

Got my tracking info a couple days ago, I can schedule a delivery beginning August first. Will let you guys know what I think of it when it arrives.

I got mine scheduled for Aug 11. I could have had it scheduled for earlier but I'm in no rush since I can't put it out until our pool is finished which won't be until later part of august. Look forward to hearing your opinion and feedback on the furniture

SmilieYup, saw this deal, read the reviews and It was just too good of a deal to pass up at $999 with free shipping.

Ordered it last night, already prices went back up since then!!. Glad I got mine while I could. Great quality, great reviews and peace of mind knowing we will have a set that will last.

Costco has quality stuff...they don't sell junk. Saved BIG TIME!!
