Walmart just got in a new stock of Lifetime Tamarack 120 Angler fishing kayaks. The same Kayak sells for $500 at Cabela's (plus $100 in shipping and tax). It's a great kayak for the money, comes with a padded seat, three fishing pole holders, two dry storage places. Free ship to store on this guy. They also stock the same kayak in store, but under a different SKU for $286. I have tried to get them to price match but no dice.

I bought a total of 4 of these, two of them fit nicely on top of a Jeep Wrangler with just some pool noodles and ratcheting straps.

Sit on isn't probably good for white water.. Sit in with skirt is probably what you want.

Lowest price this has ever been on Amazon is $270. Seems like this is a solid deal. Thanks OP!

This seems like a stupid good deal. Would someone that's 6 foot and about 200 pounds have an enjoyable fishing experience in one of these? I'm moving to the gulf coast in a week and want a kayak to fish in.

Too bad it is only a 10 foot kayak. I'd bite if it were 12 foot.

Good Deal. Managed to snag these for $170ea awhile back when sportsauthority was going under.

Grabbed one for my wife and an extra as a loaner for friends.
nothing fancy but it gets you out on the water and not much will come close to price on this for a yak with two built in and one removable rod holder. the seat is garbage and one adjustment pulled the bottom pad off but it didn't help cushion much to begin with.

Nothing next to my Wilderness systems Ride135 for lakes but I like this on on the creeks and small rivers due to the size and maneuverability. This do not track very well and is not a yak that cuts quickly through the water making it better suited for small bodies of water or smaller rivers.

Mind posting a pic of your Jeep setup? I'd like to maybe attach one to my Wrangler.

Thanks!

I have taken this to the gulf coast. Okaloosa Island/Destin area of Florida because I thought it would be better than hauling my 13' kayak down from TN. I was not happy with this in the ocean. It is slow and does not track well making it hard in such open water.

If you are just looking for something cheap to get out on the water then this would be fine; I am 6'2" 220lb. If you are looking for something to be out on the water for any extended time while fishing, I would invest in something better. this leaves a lot to be desired for comfort for anything longer than an hour or two. The back rest while nice is not very sturdy and the seat padding might as well not be there.

It is worth the sale price and good for what it is which is a entry level fishing kayak for this price but nothing fancy.

This is the response I was hoping for. Thanks for the input, I'll keep searching craigslist.
