Checked mobile and desktop. Not available for shipping. I think this is a good deal though. I would not consider this a mid-sized microwave as the description seems to note. its near the largest size you can get.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "normal size"? 1.5 cu ft is a good size, even on the slightly larger size. My mom goes through microwaves like there's no tomorrow so I finally ended up getting her a commercial microwave. This is a good price for the size and features....but her last LG lasted about 10 months.

I edited my last response. The description says mid-size. The largest microwave I have personally owned was 1.9 cu and basically overkill. I have been shopping for a spare/replacement microwave and 1.5cu seemed to be the higher end of the deal spectrum without breaking $100 constantly while being considered on sale.

After doing a google it seems compact is under 1cu. Midsize is 1-1.5cu and fullsize is 1.6-2cu.

Your comment about microwaves not lasting is interesting. I have basically never had a microwave fail on me. i have one that the start button does not function but you can press 1-9 and have it run 1, 2, 3, etc minutes. If another microwave fails on you try cleaning the grey shield. It protects the magnatron (i think thats what its called) If food gets on there it will cause sparks but sometimes cleaning it well or replacing it will have the microwave function again.

I did have a panasonic with the sense cook technology fail me now that i think about it. When I worked in the service department at bestbuy those went out often and the inverter was replaced. I bought mine before seeing all the failures. First one failed in two weeks and second one lasted over a year. I used the bestbuy protection plan i bought (first and last time i ever used one) and got a store credit. I feel the less special features a microwave has the longer it seems to last. I don't spend a lot on microwaves anymore but this post intrigued me since I like LG and it seems like a good price for the name brand in what i consider a larger size high wattage (1600w wow) microwave. lack of shipping and frys near me kills it for me.

Oh I'm with you, I've never had a microwave fail on me either (had a cheap 1cu ft Walmart special for 8yrs, then when I got married I upgraded to a SS 1.5 cu ft and been going for 3yrs+). But you are likely not a Southeast Asian mom who loves to cook and she uses the microwave in interesting ways; not just to reheat, defrost, nor make popcorn. Usually what fail are the touch-press buttons, the spinning plate motor, and/or the display or something stupid. She's gone through GE, Panasonic, two LGs, etc and are usually 1.5 to 2 cu ft size which are on the larger size. She used to have a built-in but that is no longer produced. So this latest Sharp commercial microwave I got her has a knob to select your time from 10 sec to 6 min, no LCD display, and no spinning plate.......it ...........just.............nukes your food Big Grin . Hoping it'll last her a while.

*I ordered this as a backup for mom or me if either of our microwaves fail. Thanks OP, repped. It IS a good price either way.
