iPhone APNs can indeed be changed by opening Safari and going to unlockit.co.nz and selecting your current carrier and the profile for your service will automatically be installed to your device after a few prompts. Even though locked to the AT&T network can work with any and all MVNOs on AT&T by using this website to update your APN settings.
1. This phone cannot be unlocked for free or cheap unless used with at&t for 6 months.
2. This will work with any at&t sim prepaid or postpaid and any at&t mvno.
3. For using with mvno you need to install a profile for data to work since you can't edit the apn settings. This is not Android an at&t locked phone will read any at&t mvno sim as at&t and hide the apn settings and use some default which only works for at&t.
4. MMS will not work for mvno as you can't add the APN settings for MMS.
5. You may submit premium unlocking after 14 days of activation on ebay but it is expensive about $60.
6. Cricket is not MVNO it is fully owned and operated by AT&T so by default data should work without having to install profile but someone with cricket needs to confirm about MMS. I don't have a cricket sim to test.
...edit - MMS works with Cricket sim.
Is this a good deal?
In my opinion no. Not unlocked, hassle of installing profile to make data work. Very dated processor only 1 gig of ram, the camera performance is probably equal to that of a S5 not even a S6 so don't expect much. The 32 gb that's bare min for iOS to run, not much space for apps or media. Honestly you can do much better in the Android world for $200.
Here are the MVNOs powered by AT&T so all these SIM cards should work.

I have not been watching the ATT prepaid threads for quite a while, is an unlock request to ATT not working anymore on these go phones? I just unlocked some not more then a couple of months ago with no issues.

It will
Edit: Looks like all of the ones on Ebay say that your phone must be out of contract. What good would that be when you can do this yourself?
lol in all seriousness, this is a pretty good entry level price for a new 6
