20% off on your next order when Walmart arrives on Google Express [google.com]. Maximum discount is $30.

Note: Walmart is still not available on Google Express. The link is to sign up for the discount and get notified when it's available in "late September." [walmart.com]

Google and Walmart have announced a new partnership today [blog.google]. Also announced is that Google Express has dropped its fees and will provide free shipping (1 to 3 days) for orders above a minimum amount ($25 or $35 in most cases).
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Some details on the Google Express news, speaking as an excited longtime Express member but note I am not on the Express team!

No more membership fees. Current members will get a pro-rata refund.
Shipping will remain free, subject to per-store minimum order amounts (typically $25-$35).
Walmart's coming soon, but -- as others have noticed -- not yet on Express.

Official announcement on Google's blog here [blog.google].

And again, important disclaimer: I'm a Googler, but I don't work on Google Express and had nothing to do with this launch. Just sharing the public news here Smilie.

Is it just me or has this not actually launched yet? All it did for me was put me on a notification list for when it did.
It hasn't launched yet. The sign up is to get notified when it launches and for the discount. Walmart states that it'll launch in late September [walmart.com], but no actual date.

so how does this exactly work now? I know there's walmart pick up now through your car. Worse service to pick up inside though so this makes me worried about getting my crap.

30% off means you can pre-order games like Mario Odyssey and Wolfenstein 2 and get a better discount than what Amazon Prime and Best Buy GCU offer.
30% off? From where?

Do we have to join Google Express now to sign up for it? Since they only give us certain days for trial, I am not signing up to burn my trial days.

I think I signed up, but don't see a confirmation. Is it swamped?

i think it's 20% off (up to $30 discount). and they got rid of the membership fees, so there's no trial anymore. you don't need to join anything as far as I know. as long as you have a google account, you can just shop

Holy **** I was hesitant on signing up just because the membership fee would've taken a huge chunk out of the savings but this is slick!
