Well I'm sad I've subscribed a few weeks ago for 79 bucks but so far my experience with them only positive. Thread author hasn't mentioned but they have ads blocker what I've found very useful. Everything else like described.

I updated the thread along with information on the Five Eyes.

I don't know, I would not expect this to last longer than a week or more.

FWIW, I have this and PIA... the official NordVPN app on my PC doesn't work at all, but it works on my laptop. You might have to tinker with settings, and either manually add servers using OpenVPN or ikev2

https://nordvpn.com/tutorials/windows-7/openvpn/
https://nordvpn.com/blog/ikev2ipsec/

I feel "safer" with NordVPN because they're not a part of 5 eyes...

Anyway, here's hoping I can up my sub with this

Edit: It's possible to resub, although you have to login --> go to change a package --> enter "Slickdeals" as coupon code --> pay

Thanks, this is exactly what I wanted to hear someone else say in support as well. I feel safer with NordVPN as well, both are great services though. If you want 'more protection', I feel that $20 more than PIA is worth it.

NordVPN is the f'ing tits. PIA and Torguard got nothing on Nord.

FWIW - I have zero problems with any Windows PC using NordVPN

I've been using Nord for a few months now. Got this same deal a couple months back. It slows down my speed quite a bit. I wish it didn't affect my speeds as much. I have 100 download but when connected to Nord I only get about 40. Good for privacy though. Windows and iOS apps work great for me.

For what it's worth, I hope this helps some users out.

This is why I say I feel 'safer' on Nord vs PIA. Speeds are comparable but I do like the security that comes with Nord.

Is there any way to find out which servers are located on the east coast? There's so many files in the openvpn zip file.

Yes. It shows you what servers are available as well as the server load and distance.

I've been using Nord for months now and recently had to stop due to frustrating issues that support hasn't been able to fix. The PC software is solid, but the Nord DNS servers stop resolving domain names after a while. The Android and iOS apps randomly close without warning.

This has been my experience as well. Also annoying having to disable it for Netflix. Can't get full 1080p with this thing activated.
