First post here, sorry for any mistakes-

Saw what looks like a great price for these headphones. Was trending around 299$ last I saw on amazon and Best Buy.

Heads up a new revised model is on the way that fixes the headband cracking issue. Will probably be full retail but something to consider as Sony warranty support is worthless
3 year protection plan is only $12 on amazon, much better deal than GeekSquad at $60 for just 2 years.

Seems like a really good price. Only thing that worries me is the quality issue.
A lot of people seem to have complained about portion of head piece that connects to ear cup cracking.

You could take screenshot of that price on Bestbuy and potentially use your credit card for price protection (if they offer) for refund or credit card statement credit

I got the MDR‑100ABN last year for $200. Should I get this? Anyone tried both?

Have been using mine for almost a year, no issues with mine. I wear a 7 5/8" size cap btw.

Don't have the CSR, have the AMEX Platinum, but pretty sure they don't do price protection. Frown

I have both, sound quality is similar. The only plus, I can think of, is the ability to disable NC with cupping right can with hand, which is rather cool and convenient.

I have both. Similar sound quality. A few pluses - you can disable NC by cupping right can with hand (cool and convenient), comes in a nicer semi-hard travel case, slightly lighter and less bulky.
