Great way to keep your points from expiring or if you're a bit short for that next trip!

American Airlines [redcross.org] - AAdvantage members can earn 10 miles for every dollar donated

United Airlines [crowdrise.com]

I'm not seeing other major US Airlines with similiar offers on their website but that could change soon so check them out periodically.

beware of how they vlaue the miles, since you are supposed to substract the value of the miles when you do your taxes. you are probably better off not doing this unless you really really really need miles
edit:
this valur may still apply "Each mile is valued at 3 cents apiece, so your tax deduction may be limited."

what i am saying is donate directly, as getting miles will significantly lower your tax deduction
edit:
for every dollar, only 70 cents will be tax deductible

edit2:
i.e. if your marginal tax bracket is 25%, the cost of each mile ends up being about 7.5 cents (as that 30 cents would yield a 7.5 cent tax savings)

I think your decimal is too far to the right.

I need activity this fall w/both AA & UA so miles do not expire, I suppose this should qualify w/$25-50 donation?
Any other easy ways to add activity?

From August 24, 2017 through September 24, 2017, with a minimum $25 donation, AAdvantage members can earn 10 miles for every dollar donated. Mileage will appear on mileage statements within 30 days of donations being made and must be made through this website link.

United MileagePlus® members who donate a minimum of $50 to any one of our charitable partners will receive up to 1,000 bonus miles
