Great specs for a mid-high level gaming rig. Open box though. Those following the recent prices know you are saving at least $200-300 and getting a desktop system with very nice components (i7-7700 / nVidia GTX 1070 8Gb / DDR4 16Gb / 240Gb SSD / 1TB HDD / Windows 10 license / 600W PSU / nice looking case ).

There is still MasterPass code for $25 more off till 8/31/17, too, for making the deal sweet $880 shipped - code here [newegg.com]

Great specs, but apparently GPU is a bit questionable for some reason on the new ones. https://m.newegg.com/products/N82...72/reviews

Open box from NewEgg scares me.

"Open Box merchandise are products that have been purchased and delivered to other customers, and then returned to Newegg. Open Box products are sold considerably under cost. Newegg tests Open Box products for basic functionality only. Due to the varying quality of products returned to Newegg, Newegg makes every attempt to supply the original accessories for Open Box products. However, regardless of what the product description says, Newegg only guarantees that you will receive the product itself, accessories may or may not be included. Bear in mind that your open box product may not contain cables, adaptors, manuals, CDs, drivers, fans, etc. Additionally, the product may exhibit cosmetic imperfections as a result of its having been previously opened. Newegg will not send you any missing accessory, even if the accessory is required in order to properly make use of all the product's advertised functions. While Newegg does not like to discourage sales, please purchase open box products only if you know how to deal with potential missing accessories."

I wonder if the graphics card would be considered an accessory if it went missing 🤔

A few comments on newegg reviews about bad GPUs. Buy with caution?

That's what I was thinking as well. Amazing specs, but also apparently too good to be true, and those reviews are from customers who got new systems and not open box ones.

With that being said, I think I'm going to pass and wait till back Friday, but some will take the risk, and it can work. It's just not a sure thing like most would prefer. That, and accessories being missing sucks as well.

Ps to everyone, no Wi-Fi adapter. Just so you know.

Dunno what you guys are scared about. Right at the product page Warranty&Returns tab:

Return Policies
Return for refund within: 30 days
Return for replacement within: 30 days
This item is covered by Newegg.com's Standard Return Policy.

A full week of burn-in 24x7 maxed out and all you concerns will be out of the window. If it fails - return it. But if the system still keeps humming it's a keeper. Chances it fails prematurely (e.g. after a year) will be slim. You know that, right?

You're mixing up "components" (CPU, RAM, etc) vs "accessories" (power cable, mouse, keyboard, documentation, utilities CD, etc). Whatever listed in the specs must be present.

buying refurb $1,000 computer from newegg is like putting a 357 round in the cylinder, giving it a spin, and aiming it at your balls. sure you may not die, but it also may not end well for you
