yes, the downsides to a TN panel are well known and routinely stated in threads about TN gaming monitors. yet no one ever posts a comparable IPS monitor with the same feature sets for around the same price. id like to see these "better options" that are out now for the same (or comparable) price.

I want to say $425? and that was just a few weeks ago. I bought last year at $450 and its been a great gaming monitor. Ill vouch for it every time it hits front page. also, in before the IPS snobs show up.

Even without the 10% off, this is still cheaper than the best buy deals.

Any other way to get 10% off if not military or if I don't have a discover card?

I purchased this monitor from Best Buy when my Acer XB270HU needed to be RMA'ed for the LED going out. It was a decent monitor for what I needed but ultimately I'm going to sell it now that I have my Acer back because the color-banding issue is a real problem. Not to mention that I couldn't figure out how to get the Nvidia game settings to stay enabled while full-screen, which is a huge problem because it looks washed out unless you adjust these.
