That's crazy talk. People spend so much time in their cars. It's the one place where most people actually listen to music. Why not make it your personal sound booth? You don't need to be a car guy or have to have a 2000 watt sub to enjoy car audio upgrades.

No one buys this stuff? That's funny, cause I bought the LCD-2 and the AK t1p via Iconian's deals... $1.3k out of my wallet... even though I'm cheap... LMAO

Life is short, what good is money if you never splurge on yourself every once in a while? I've never bought anything more expensive than the ATH-m50x before, but decided I wanted to treat myself for a couple of nice headphones. If you enjoy music, headphones can be one of the greatest pleasures in life.

I could be like everyone else and blow $1k on a stupid iPhone, but nah, I prefer to spend it on quality stuff like headphones that will last for many years.

Don't be a sore loser and hate on people who appreciate nice stuff, especially stuff that will bring much more pleasure and joy than a disposable over-priced phone that everyone else has.

The review for these guys are frightening. Hard to believe that this pair can beat out a lot of other flagship cans. From reviews it literately sounds like it took the best of all the flagships and cut the out the fat from them.

had early 2000 focal utopia sound system in my car...amazing quality stuff, however I could not imagine spending 3k on a pair of cans..not sure how much sound improves that much to justify cost??

Upgraded from Hifiman 560 to Utopia. I was ready to just return the headphone if I don't hear noticeable difference. I am no audiophile but I can definitely hear difference and improvements. I would say like 20% improvement over what I had rather than 400% considering the x4+@ retail price tag, but I can definitely appreciate the improvement in sound quality.

Sounds good.... you are probably at the point where another 400% in price EEK!EEK!EEK! would maybe give you another 5% improvement if you're lucky?

Seems like these Focals (and other high end audio at a similar price) gets to be the top end of what most of us can hear, unless you have super powers.
