WOW Air has fares to Tel-Aviv, Israel (TLV) on sale from $259 USD from Boston (BOS), New York (EWR), Baltimore (BWI), Pittsburgh (PIT) and Chicago (ORD) as well as from Toronto (YYZ) and Montreal (YUL).
Select dates September 2017 through March 2018 - see the source/credit below for specific dates.
This is a low cost carrier and baggage fees will apply.
Must book as separate one-ways to get this pricing. So, use the Google Flight search to find the dates that work and then book the outbound first (for example: EWR-TLV) and then the return second (for example: TLV-EWR).
Also, there's a trick to book these in the source/credit below if you need to depart from Toronto or Montreal.
Depart from:
Boston (BOS), New York (EWR), Baltimore (BWI), Pittsburgh (PIT) and Chicago (ORD).
San Francisco (SFO) available for $100 more

Sidenote:
Yes it's a controversial destination but for the sake of those that want to go, let's leave the politics out of this one. Also, yes it's safe.

Ok.. 6'4" and 207 pounds. I'm overweight, but I certain don't intrude into the seat of the person sitting to me.(even on a tight United Airlines 777 with 10-abreast seating)
Anyway, when I got home, I disputed the charge with AmEx and the airline eventually backed down after several months. (sending the story to my local NBC affiliate station also helped, after they call the airline to ask for comment)

If you can't see it through the UR portal, you would need to call chase and they should be able to do it for you. Great idea though!
Never heard of WOW airlines and doesn't look like they are at any airports within driving distance for me.
Nothing more controversial about Israel than most other countries.
Still very much alive
WOW Air has round trip airfares travelling from Boston (BOS) or Washington DC / Balitmore (BWI) for a total of $256 if you purchase two separate one-way tickets. The fare from BOS or BWI to TLV is $139 and the return fare (separately) is $119. If purchase together, it would be $530. This makes 1 stop in Iceland and possibly up to 11 hours (two trips in one!). Don't forget, WOW Air prices doesn't include a seat assignment or carry on bags. Those are extra so review their optional fees before booking.
