Looks like Sam's Club is having a promotion to reserve the phone online and buy and activate the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in the store. The price is the same as everywhere else with the iPhone 8 starting at $699 and the iPhone 8 Plus starting at $799 but you get a bonus a $100 Gift Card!
You can also get $20 off of AppleCare+ and another $10 Gift Card with the purchase of SquareTrade.

The most hilarious thing is your 'understanding' of Apple as a whole.
The very things you attempt to mock them for: their repetitive form factor, few major OS overhauls, etc... is actually one of the biggest *points* that Apple prides itself in. - The continuity of their OS and user experience, ACROSS EVERY DEVICE, is actually done on purpose.
Is it for everyone? No, certainly not.
But you're a fool if you can't understand what benefits and advantages this provides to a large portion of their customer base.

pharmacy, alcohol & cafe no membership required at sams, bjs or costco. Its easier if you keep an expired card to show them at the door to enter.

I do everything on my iPhone 7+ as I did on my previous Nexus 6/Note 5/S7 Edge/V20, etc. haven't ran into a single thing I can't do. Oh I can't change my icons to look terrible? No problem.
or scan the card and get free sample from the machine.(yes, expired cards do work on the machine's bar code scanner)
